Lakhimpur Kheri: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said on Monday that Kashmir is still a challenge due to Pakistan’s destabilizing activities.
Talking to media after inaugurating the administrative building, residential block and officers’ mess at the SSB sector headquarters here, Singh said the Army, the CRPF, the J&K police and intelligence bureau men are acting in better cohesion.
Dwelling upon Naxal incidents, the home minister said the number has dropped by 50 per cent during the last four years.
Singh said the violence in northeastern areas saw a decline of 80 per cent. The home minister praised the Modi dispensation and said no major terrorist incidents had taken place in India during the last four-and-a-half years.
The economy of the country is counted as the world’s fastest growing today, he said. By 2030, the Indian economy would rank among top three economies of the world, he added.
