Junior Clerk convicted in vigilance case in Odisha
Balasore: The Balasore Special Judge, Vigilance on Friday convicted ex-junior clerk Baburam Sahu regarding demand of illegal gratification of Rs 800 for mutation and issuance of patta from a person.
The Vigilance Special court in the district convicted Baburam and sentenced him 6 months of imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 5,000, failing which he shall undergo an additional jail term for a period of 1 month.
According to the complainant, ex-clerk Baburam allegedly demanded money for mutation and issuance of patta in his favor.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance has booked the accused under section 13(2) r/w, 13(1) (d)/ 7 PC Act, 1988.
