Bengaluru: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman K Sivan has announced on Friday that Chandrayaan-2 to be launched in middle of April 2019.
ISRO had earlier said the Moon mission will be launched between January-February 16 this year.
Reports said the mission will cost nearly Rs 800 crore. It is an advanced version of the previous Chandrayaan-1 mission about 10 years ago, the report said.
Sivan said the space agency had earlier planned to launch the spacecraft sometime between January and February. But, it could not be materialised because certain tests could not be conducted, he added.
