Infosys CFO resigns after tenure of 18-years


Bengaluru: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Infosys Ltd, M.D. Ranganath resigned from his executive post after 18-years of service in Infosys, on Saturday.

Though the board of Bengaluru-headquartered Infosys accepted the resignation of Ranganath, he will continue in his current position as the CFO till November 16, 2018. The board will commence the search for the new CFO soon.

Ranganath was a part of Infosys for 18-years and was appointed to the post of CFO in 2015.

Ranganath in the Infosys filing explained his reason for stepping down by stating that he is now planning to venture different professional opportunities by quoting, “After a successful career spanning 18 years in Infosys including as CFO for the last three crucial years, I now plan to pursue professional opportunities in new areas.”

As the CFO Ranganath supervised various functions across the group that included corporate finance, taxation, treasury, mergers, risk management, and investor relations.
