Bhubaneswar: The India Women’s Four-Nation Tournament is going to be held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from February 9 to February 15.
India Women’s team, ranked 62 under FIFA, will play against Iran, Myanmar and Nepal, ranked 60, 44 and 108 respectively in the tournament.
India will play its first match against Iran on Saturday while it will face Nepal in their second match on Monday. The third match will be against Myanmar on Wednesday.
The four-nation tournament is the first such tournament in Indian soil for the senior women’s team.
Featuring Iran, Myanmar and Nepal alongside the hosts, the tournament is a joint initiative by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Odisha government.
The matches will be held in round robin format, with the top two teams progressing to the final on 15th February. All the matches of the tournament will be shown live on Hotstar, AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das informed at a presser.
