India Open: Srikanth enters finals, Sindhu knocked out in semis

New Delhi: Indian Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth on Saturday defeated China’s Huang Yuxiang to enter men’s singles final in the India Open badminton tournament.

The Indian defeated his opponent in the sets of 16-21, 21-14, 21-19.

In the finals, Srikanth will take on Viktor Axelsen.  Axelsen, in his men’s singles semi-final, registered a 21-11, 21-17 win over India’s Parupalli Kashyap.

On the other hand, PV Sindhu was knocked out in the semi-finals after she suffered a 21-23, 18-21 defeat to China’s He Bingjiao.
