India-China Joint Military Training to begin from Nov 15


New Delhi: Amid escalating tensions on the backdrop of NSG bid backing , terrorist tag to Massod Azhar, occasional up close and front between armed forces of both China and India in border areas of north and northeast now both the neighbours are planning for a joint military training exercise.

As per information, a joint military drill “Hand in Hand 2016” will be held between armed forces of both the countries from November 15 to 17 in Aundh near Pune.

This will be the sixth such joint annual training exercise between the Indian Army and the people’s Liberation Army of China over the time.

The aim of this training is to share the expertise in drills and practices while tackling insurgency and terrorism.

The sixth joint training will be conducted in three phases. In first phase the exercise consists of familiarization with weapons and equipment.

Likewise the second phase consists of basic training like combat conditioning, firing of personal weapon, support weapon and practice of drills like observation post, cardon and search and disaster relief operations.

Lastly the third phase will be dedicated to developing mutual understanding and respect for each other’s military.
