Guyana: The sixth edition of International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s World T20 will kick-start from November 9. The Indian team will be up against New Zealand in Guyana on the opening day.
India, hosts of the last edition, who failed to make the semis last time, will be keen to show their best performance to the world.
The host and defending Champions Windies will begin their campaign against Bangladesh. The 16-day tournament will conclude on November 24.
Ten teams including South Africa, Bangladesh, Windies, England, Srilanka, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and India will take part in the event.
The 10 participating teams are divided into two groups- Group A and Group B. While South Africa, Bangladesh, Windies, England and Srilanka are in the Group A, Group B comprises of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and India.
Team India and New Zealand from Group B will be up against each other in the opening day of the tournament.
