Bhubaneswar: While intense heatwave condition continues to grip most parts of Odisha, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here issued a yellow alert for eight districts for three days from today.
While the whole state is reeling under the scorching sun, interior and western parts of the state are the most affected.
Yellow warning has been issued for Bolangir, Sonepur, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Jharsuguda districts.
Besides, heatwave conditions will continue to prevail across the state with the temperature rising above 40 degrees Celsius for the next three days, officials stated. It is predicted that the temperature will rise above 40 degrees Celsius in most of the cities.
