Mumbai: As like the whole nation, many Bollywood personalities such as Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra among others condoled the death of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the King Khan paid tribute by writing a heartfelt note for the “the poet Prime Minister of our country”.
The former Prime Minister was hospitalised for a month, due to prolonged illness. However, he passed away yesterday evening at New Delhi AIIMS.

Late Atal bihari Vajpayee was an Indian politician who served three times as the Prime Minister of India. First for a term of 13 days in 1996,second for a period of eleven months from 1998 to 1999, and then for a full term from 1999 to 2004.
The late leader served over four decades in the Indian Parliament. He was elected to the Lok Sabha ten times and twice to the Rajya Sabha.
However,he took retirement from the politics due to health concerns in the year 2009. He was conferred India’s highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee in 2015.
The Modi government declared in 2014 that Vajpayee’s birthday, 25 December, would be marked as Good Governance Day.
