Headmaster held for misbehaving with Class V girl in Kalahandi school


Kalahandi: The headmaster of a primary a school in Mathura village under Junagarh police limits in Kalahandi district have been arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a Class V girl student.

The accused has been identified as Sanjib Kumar Panda, headmaster of Radha Krishna Primary School in the district.

The matter came to light after the minor girl’s family members lodged a written complaint against Panda on Saturday.

According to the FIR, Panda called the girl to his office on Friday and allegedly misbehaved with her. After returning home, the girl narrated her ordeal before her parents.

Based on the complaint, Panda was arrested and he will be forwarded to a local court today, the police said.

It is also learnt that accused headmaster was earlier suspended for dereliction of duty and coming to the school in an inebriated condition.
