Malda: The BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday assured that all Bengali refugees will be granted citizenship with the passage of the Citizenship Bill.
Addressing a rally in Malda, Shah said the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls will be for restoring democracy in the state.
Criticizing the TMC government for doing nothing for the refugees Shah said: “I want to assure that all the Bengali refugees will be given citizenship under the Citizenship Bill.
The BJP president said the anti-BJP parties did not utter ‘Bharat Mata ki jai or ‘Vande Mataram’ even once during the public meeting, but kept ranting ‘Modi Modi’.
The grand alliance of opposition parties was meant for “gaining power and serving personal interests”, he said and added that it is all about greed and lust.
We want to remove poverty and corruption, but their agenda is to oust Modi, the BJP chief said.
He termed the TMC government as a dispensation that “ that facilitates murders” and said it will be ousted in the Lok Sabha polls.
