Gandhinagar: India is aiming at being in the list of top 50 countries in ease of doing business by next year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said.
The Prime Minister said India’s ranking has jumped 75 places in the World Bank’s ease of doing business rankings.
Modi said his government is focused on removing the barriers preventing the country from achieving its potential. The government will continue with the pace of reforms and deregulation, he added.
The mantra of ‘reform, perform, transform and further perform’ has been followed by the government for all round growth of the country, Modi said.
The GDP expansion has been the highest since 1991,the Prime Minister said.
Modi has conceptualized the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in 2003 when he was Gujarat chief minister. It was done to re-establish the state as a preferred investment destination within India.
