Kamakhyanagar: In yet another case of non-availability of the free hearse service under ‘Mahaprayan scheme’, the daughters of a deceased man were forced to carry his body in a trolley.
The incident took place today at Bhuban in Dhenkanal district.
The deceased, identified as Dayanidhi Mallick of Nilakanthapur was missing since last night. On Tuesday morning his body was fished out from Brahmani river and sent for post-mortem to Bhuban hospital.
Sources said, after autopsy the body was handed over to his daughters. But due to non-availability of Mahaprayan service the poor family had to carry his body in a trolley rickshaw.
