Gaya road rage: JD(U) leader’s son Rocky Yadav gets life sentence


Patna: A local court in Gaya sentenced Rocky Yadav to life imprisonment for killing 17-year-old student Aditya Sachdeva last year in a road rage incident. The court also jailed Rocky’s father Bindeshwari (Bindi) Yadav for five years apart from slapping a fine of Rs 50,000.

Rocky, son of dreaded gangster Bindeshwari Yadav and suspended JDU MLC Manorama Devi was pronounced guilty by the Court of Additional District and Session Judge, Sachidanand Singh, last Thursday.

The court had also convicted three other co-accused, Teny Yadav, cousin brother of Rocky and Rajesh Singh, bodyguard of Manorama Devi in the murder case. Bindi Yadav was also convicted for destruction of evidence.

Aditya Sachdeva, a teenager was shot dead by Rocky Yadav on May 7, last year when he was coming back to Gaya from Bodh Gaya after attending a birthday celebration.

Aditya and his four friends Ayush, Ankit, Nasir and Kaifi who were travelling in the Swift Dzire car allegedly had denied a pass to a SUV in which Rocky was travelling. This infuriated Rocky Yadav’s son so much that he later overtook the Swift Dzire car and stopped it following which a altercation took place between Aditya and his friends with Rocky Yadav.

Later, in a fit of rage, Rocky took out his licensed Beretta revolver and gunned down Aditya.
