Game of Thrones Season 8 latest trailer gives a glimpse of ultimate battle

London: HBO on Tuesday released the first full trailer of Game of Thrones Season 8 after giving away posters, motion posters, teasers and first looks of the series.

The 2-minute-long trailer gives a glimpse of all the important characters of the series.

The scene opens with Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) breathing heavily and later sharpening her weapon saying, “I know death, it’s got many faces. I look forward to seeing this one.”

Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) arrive at Winterfell with the two remaining Targaryen dragons — Drogon and Rhaegal— who fly over Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) leaving her in surprise.

Cersei (Lena Headey) is seen smirking in the trailer showcasing indifference towards the battle, while other characters including Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) and Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer), plus Bran Stark aka the Three-Eyed Raven (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) and Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) readies themselves for the war of the season.

The upcoming season will be focused on the fight between the living and the dead. While the White Walkers have brought down the Wall in the last season and earned the undead ice dragon that was once Viserion, Jon and Daenerys will lead the fight at Winterfell.

The trailer concludes with grim expressions of the army men as the Night King’s horse steps on the land.

The final season of Game of Thrones premieres on April 14.
