Double murder in Chandipur: Brothers stabbed to death


Balasore: Chandipur police today intensified probe into the gruesome murder of two brothers who were stabbed to death by two youths at Jagadapadhi in the district on Saturday night.

The deceased have been identified as Tapan and his brother Bikash Jena of Nangudi village.

As per reports, the siblings used to run a poultry centre and were killed for not delivering chicken on credit.

According to sources, two miscreants arrived at the chicken centre and asked the siblings to give meat on credit. The two youths had left the shop after a heated exchange of words with Jena brothers.

Locals alleged that the miscreants returned at around 9.30 pm and attacked Bikash with sharp weapons. They also stabbed Tapan when he came to his brother’s rescue.

Though, both Bikash and Tapan were rushed to hospital, they succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment.
