Director Rohit Shetty clears air on script of Sooryavanshi
Mumbai: Simmba director Rohit Shetty has recently clarified that the script of his next film Sooryavanshi is an original story and is not a remake of any Tamil cop drama.
Reports were doing the rounds that Sooryavanshi is a remake of the Tamil cop drama Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. However, Rohit Shetty dismissed all speculation and said that the film was still in its scripting stage and is an original story and not inspired by any film.
The news was confirmed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter handle.
Rohit Shetty clarifies: News that Rohit Shetty has bought rights of a #Tamil film for #Sooryavanshi is untrue and baseless… Akshay Kumar starrer #Sooryavanshi, produced and directed by Rohit Shetty, is an original story and not inspired from any film, the statement reads.
