Digvijaya Singh’s abusive tweet against PM Modi sparks outrage
New Delhi: In an attempt to take a pot shot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Friday courted controversy as he posted a disparaging post on the social media, suggesting that the PM Modi’s achievement was to be able to fool the people of the country.
Digvijaya Singh lifted a meme made by someone against PM Modi and posted the picture on his Twitter account. The meme represents the supporters of PM Modi as ‘Bhakts’, continues to say that making fool of others and making fools follow him are the only achievements of Modi.
The meme posted by Digvijaya read, “Mere do achievements 1.) Bhakton ko Ch** banaya 2.) Ch*** ko Bhakt banaya.”

Digvijaya Singh — despite understanding the derogatory nature of the picture — while posting the abusive meme also said that he couldn’t help but post it.
“Not mine but couldn’t help posting it. My apologies to the person concerned. He is the best in the art of fooling!” This quote is an apparent jab at Prime Minister Modi.
This tweet has sparked an outrage on Twitter as many find it offensive and not in good taste. Miss Aarya @whsitleblower tweeted: When an elected representative tweets something with word ‘ch****’ in it, tells a lot about his character, leadership and vision.
Digvijaya Singh is a member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha and General Secretary of the Congress Party.
