Denied entry into exam hall, UPSC aspirant kills self


New Delhi: A 28-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide after he was denied entry to the examination hall of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2018 conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) on Sunday.

The student reportedly reached the examination centre late and was not allowed to sit in for the test, following which he hanged himself. The youth was identified as Varun of Rajendra Nagar of Delhi.

According to sources, a suicide note was recovered from his room. The suicide note reads, “The rules are fine but there should be some leniency.”

The Union Public Service Commission conducted the Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2018 on June 3 at various test centres across the country in which lakhs of candidates have appeared.
