Bhubaneswar: Days after former Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), speculations are rife that Damodar Rout, who was expelled from BJD, is likely to follow his footsteps and join the saffron party.
Reacting to the query of mediapersons about his joining the BJP, the Paradip MLA has not dismissed the speculations rather hinted of joining either the saffron party or Congress if any such offers come in his way.
The senior leader also stated that although he tried to float a new political party against the ruling BJD, he could not succeed.
“As a political leader, I need to join any of the political parties. However, I have not yet decided which party I will join. Also, I have not received any offer from any party so far,” Rout said.
