Cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ to cross Odisha coast on Oct 11
Bhubaneswar: The deep depression over eastcentral Bay of Bengal is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm, named Titli, and cross Odisha coast around the morning of October 11, a bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here said.
The system lies about 510 km southeast of Kalingapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) and is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm during next 24 hours.

The Met expects damage in districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Nayagarh and Puri and has sounded a yellow warning in these districts.

- October 11- Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with isolated extremely heavy rainfall very likely to occur over districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Kandhamal, Boudh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak and Balasore.
- October 12- Heavy rainfall at isolated places likely to occur over Balasore, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj districts.
Squally wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph is very likely to commence along & off Odisha coast from 9th afternoon. It is very likely to increase gradually becoming 80-90 kmph gusting to 100 kmph from 10th October 2018 evening onwards along & off south Odisha coast and 55-65 kmph gusting to 75 kmph along & off north Odisha coasts.
The sea condition is rough to very rough over central & adjoining North Bay of Bengal on 9th and very rough to high during 10th and 11th October 2018.
The fishermen are advised not to venture into sea along and off Odisha Coast and Central and North Bay of Bengal till 12th October 2018.
