CRPF IG visits Maoist-hit Rayagada district
Rayagada: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Inspector General Bithul Kumar on Sunday visited the Maoist-infested areas of Rayagada district including Gudari and Muniguda areas. The IG took an aerial view of the dense area on a helicopter.
According to reports, CRPF IG Kumar paid a visit to the insurgent-hit area of Gudari and the CRPF camp present there.
The top police official also held discussions about the movement of the rebels in the area. Later, he also held conversation with the Jawans regarding the issues and challenges faced in carrying out operations faced.
Later, Singh left for Muniguda to review the situation there, said a source.
During Singh’s visit, Rayagada CRPF DIG SD Pandey and 4th Battalion Commander YK Rajput were present.
