Court orders confiscation of ex- R&B Chief Engineer’s properties
Bhubaneswar: A special designated court here hearing disproportionate assets case on Monday ordered seizure of properties worth Rs 9.07 lakh belonging to former Chief Engineer (R&B) department.
Hearing the case the special court asked the Vigilance to confiscate properties of Kailash Routray who earlier served as the Chief Engineer.
A total properties worth Rs 9, 07,769 will be confiscated which includes plot no-292 at Saheednagar, plot-1094 of Cuttack CDA, Jajpur’s Borada road based plot of 22 decimel, cash of Rs 1.90 lakh from his residence, Rs 3.32 lakh from his bank locker and Rs 80,000 from bank account of the accused.
Notably, state vigilance has uncovered a massive disproportionate assets case against Routray way back in 1994.Following simultaneous raids at his paternal residences in city and other places a case was lodged against his name on March 8, 1994.
