Cuttack: A contractor was found dead with bullet injuries on head at his resident in Kalyani Nagar postal colony under Madhupatna police limits in Cuttack district on Wednesday. A revolver was found near the body.
The deceased was identified as Biswabhusana Singh (45).
According to sources, Singh was found lying in a pool of blood by his family members this morning. they rushed him to SCB Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have launched a probe visiting the spot and preliminary investigations reveal that Singh committed suicide by shooting himself with a revolver.
One of victim’s family member said Singh was going through mental stress.
A case has been registered at Madhupatna police station and further investigation into the matter is underway.
