Combing operation begins over suspected Maoist camp in Cuttack


Cuttack: Security personnel carried out a combing operation into Satkosia forests today following police inputs on suspected Maoists movement in the dense forests neighbouring to Narsinghpur area in Cuttack district.

One platoon each from CRPF and District Voluntary Force (DVF) have been engaged in the combing operation and one more CRPF platoon would join the operation, informed Odisha DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma.

According to reports, around 20-25 suspected Maoists are reportedly roaming in Satkosia forest which spreads from Narasinghpur to Angul.

Meanwhile, Cuttack and Angul police have intensified combing operations in the area.
