Cold wave to grip Odisha till Jan 20
Bhubaneswar: The spine-chilling cold wave has again dropped the temperature in many parts of the State, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre here.
The cold wave conditions would prevail in the State till January 20, the Met said on Friday.
As many as 12 cities recorded temperature below 10 degree Celsius this morning. While the drop in the temperature was noticed from last evening, it is predicted that temperature is likely to drop below 10 degree Celcius in many districts across Odisha.
The district includes Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kenjhar, Angul, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Bargaeh, Dhenkanal, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.
According to Met, Phulbani recorded the lowest temperature at 7 degree Celsius, while Angul and Daringbadi recorded temperature below 8 degree Celsius.
