Cold wave continues in Odisha as temperature drops below 10ºC
Bhubaneswar: Severe cold wave condition prevailed across Odisha with the temperature in major towns of the state dropping below 10 degree Celsius.
As per reports, six places in the state recorded temperature below 10 degree Celsius. Phulbani recorded the lowest temperature of 7.3ºC followed by Angul at 8.6ºC and Koraput at 9ºC.
Other towns in the state which reeled under extreme cold wave conditions are Sonepur (9.5ºC), Daringbadi (9.6ºC) and Bhawanipatna (9.8ºC).
The Regional Meteorological Centre here has informed that the weather will likely be the same in the upcoming days.
Similarly, the denizens of the Twin Cities of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar woke up to a thick fog that covering the roads. Fog condition also prevailed in other parts of the state disrupting rail, road and air traffic.
