China supports UNSC resolution on Pulwama terror strike

New York: China has finally supported the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution condemning Pulwama terror strike as ‘heinous and cowardly’.

The gruesome terror strike at Pulwama was unanimously condemned by the international community as they adopted the resolution to the effect by permanent and non-permanent members countries of the global body.

It is worthwhile to mention that on February 14 the dastardly attack by a terrorist of Pakistan-sponsored JeM terrorist organization had killed  40 CRPF troopers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The UNSC resolution on Thursday underlined the need to hold perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these despicable acts of terrorism accountable and bring them to justice.

The global body has asked all countries to cooperate actively with the Indian government and all other relevant authorities in this grave matter.

A statement  of the global body said: “The members of the Security Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Indian people and the government of India, and wished a speedy and full recovery to those who were injured.”

The United States and various Arab nations have criticized the ghastly Pulwama attack.

China has conveyed to India its condemnation of the Pulwama attack and claimed that it strongly condemns all forms of terrorism.

The country, has however, been blocking efforts to get Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar sanctioned by the United Nations.
