Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today issued new guidelines regarding the working hours of teachers posted in state-run schools in Bhubaneswar.
As per the new rule, the working hour for teachers in all government schools in Bhubaneswar will begin from 9.30 AM to 4.30 PM.
Bhubaneswar Block Education Office (BEO) has issued fresh instructions to the headmaster of all govt-run schools in the State Capital to ensure that the teachers will stay seven hours a day at school.
“No teacher is allowed to leave school before 4.30 PM and come to school after 9.30 AM,” a notification stated.
Besides, the BEO under School & Mass Education Department has further instructed the school authorities to display the School Development Plan (SDP) and the Student Success Plan (SSP) at school’s notice board.
This apart, the BEO has asked the schools authorities to keep water filters to provide clean drinking water to the students. They have been also directed to maintain a moving register to record when parents take their children during class hours and a monitoring register to keep the record of any official’s visit to the school.
