Chandigarh: A 22-year-old woman has alleged that she was raped by at least 40 men for four consecutive days in the Morni Hill area of Haryana’s Panchkula district, where she had gone to find a job.

Two persons have been arrested, while a manhunt has been launched to arrest others involved in the incident, police said on Friday.

The police complaint lodged by the woman read that she was kept captive at a guest house and raped by at least 40 men in turns.

“We have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC on a complaint from the victim and arrested two persons. Further investigation is on,” said Ranjit Singh, SHO of Manimajra Police Station in Chandigarh.

One of the two arrested had taken the woman to Morni Hills on the pretext of giving her a job. Later she was taken to the guest house and raped there for four days by 40 men, informed the police.

The matter came to light after she managed to escape on Thursday and narrated the ordeal to her family, following which they approached the police.
