Cargo plane crashes in Iran
Tehran: A military plane crashed near the Iranian capital Tehran with at least 10 people on board, but reports said one has survived the accident.
According to local media reports on Monday that only the flight engineer might have survived the crash.
Reports said “The plane was a cargo Boeing 707 that overshot the runway during its landing,” Iran’s aviation organization spokesman Reza Jafarzadeh said.
Another news agency said it the military cargo plane was carrying meat from the Kyrgyzstan capital of Bishkek.
The news agency said the plane hit a building after the pilot chose the wrong runway.
The incident occurred when pilot of the cargo plane was trying to land at Fath airport in Alborz province situated in the east of Tehran.
Footages showed burning wreckages of the cargo plane in a forest area.
