Carcasses of two female elephants found in Balasore
Balasore: The forest department officials recovered the carcasses of two female elephants in Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary in Balasore district on Wednesday.
While the exact cause of death of the elephants was not confirmed yet, the forest officials suspected that the deaths were caused by anthrax.
The officials informed the matter to the Regional Chief Conservator of Forest (RCCF). Later, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Kuldiha reached the spot and sent the carcasses for post-mortem.
The post-mortem report would establish the actual cause behind the death, the forest officials said.
