Bombs hurled at Indradhanu market in city


Bhubaneswar: Two miscreants in a bike hurled a low-intensity bomb at a beer parlour in Indradhanu market under Nayapalli police limits on Sunday.

As per sources, the incident at around 9:30 pm during night time when the manager of the parlour shutting down the shop, the duo threw two bombs and fled away from the spot. Manager of the bar named, Dhani sustained injuries on his left hand in the incident.

ACP Rabindranath Satpathy has said that the preliminary investigation suggests the incident as a result of previous enmity.

Meanwhile, police have detained at least three persons including Sudarshan Mohapatra and Shakti Satpathy in this connection and are further investigating the matter.

As per sources, two days earlier to the incident two youths from N-4 of nayapalli area had been to the parlour to consume alcohol. Some arguments were held between the youths and the staffers of the parlour. And later, the duo left the parlour by threatening them.
