Body of boat driver recovered from Paradip sea
Paradip: Body of a boat driver was recovered by the officials of Indian Coast Guard during patrolling in deep sea in Paradip late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Mayadhar Mallik of Naranpur under Simulia police limits in Balasore district.
Sources said the Indian Coast Guard officials, who were on night patrolling duty, claimed to have retrieved the body from the water.
Reportedly, the body has been seized and sent to the port hospital for post-mortem.
In the meanwhile, the family members and Balramgadi Trawler Association president have alleged that Mayadhar was killed in firing by the coast guard officials. They claimed that the coast guards opened fire on the boat, possibly for entering the restricted area.
Sources said Mallik along with other associates had ventured into the sea for fishing.
