BJP president Amit Shah to visit Puri on Feb 3
Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Puri on February 3 to attend the party’s Janjati Morcha national convention.
This was informed by BJP Odisha in-charge Arun Singh today at a presser. Union Minister Jual Oram and party’s state president Basant Panda were also present.
The BJP will be organising Janjati Morcha national convention from February 2 and the party chief will be joining the ‘Adivasinka Haq’ rally on Feb 3 in the Pilgrim City.
Apart from the people of Odisha, around 5,000 party workers, tribal leaders, MLAs and MPs from across the country will attend the mega convention, the BJP further informed.
Speaking about the convention, Janjati Morcha state president MLA Rabi Nayak said, “Lord Jagannath is worshipped by all the people of Odisha and tribal people also. Lord Jagannath was earlier known was ‘Nilamadhaba’ during the regime of ‘Sabar Raja’ Biswasbasu (The king of an ancient ethnic tribal society). Therefore, we decided to organise the tribal convention in Puri.”
