BJP MPs write to Naveen, urge Odisha govt to join, implement Ayushman Bharat

Bhubaneswar: As many as 12 BJP MPs including 10 from Odisha have written a letter to the Chief Minister urging the State to join and implement the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat scheme

In a letter addressed to Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, the Members of Parliament said: ” The scheme allows for nationwide portability through which Odisha’s beneficiaries, especially a large number of needy migrant workers can avail healthcare facilities anywhere in the country. Odisha will also gain access to the latest technological, fraud-control and analytical platforms developed by NHA without any financial burden.”

“We (the MPs) were encouraged to learn about discussions between the Minister of Health of Odisha Naba Kishore Das, Chief Secretary (Odisha) Aditya Prasad Padhi and Dr Indu Bhusan, CEO of Ayushman Bharat. It would not be out of place to mention here that Government of Odisha would not face any financial crunch as we will ensure the funding of this flagship scheme by the Government of India. Thus, we request you to adopt and implement the Ayushman Bharat in Odisha,” the letter further mentioned.
