The trailer of the film begins with John and his team attacking a group of terrorists in a house, followed by a shootout. John is seen strapped on his bulletproof jacket, and watch as his teammates ruthlessly gun down suspects. Then it swiftly moves on to controversy that followed.
The trailer also shows Nora Fatehi and glimpses of a dance number performed by the actress.
John Abraham, who plays the role of decorated cop Sanjeev Kumar Yadav in Batla House, tweeted: “Was the nation prejudiced or was it really a fake encounter? The questions will finally be answered?”

The Batla House encounter, officially known as Operation Batla House, took place on 19 September 2008, against suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in the Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. Two suspected terrorists were killed while two other suspects were arrested. Encounter specialist cop Mohan Chand Sharma was also killed during the operation. Several human rights organisations, including teachers and students of the Jamia Millia Islamia University, have questioned the authenticity of the encounter.
The high on action movie is slated for an August 15 release.
