Bank agent murder case: Accused doctor arrested
Berhampur: In a major development in the sensational HDFC bank agent murder case, police on Monday arrested the main accused doctor Hrushikesh Tripathy, who was on the run after the incident came to light on September 12.
According to available information, the police have started investigating by taking the accused doctor with them for reconstruction of the crime scene.
Notably, the accused doctor had allegedly murdered a HDFC Bank agent, Bishnu Gouda over a love affair with a nurse, who was also in a relationship with the former.
Sources said the police took Tripathy to his clinic, where he murdered the bank agent, and chopped his body into three pieces before burying it in a dump yard at Badagumula, with the help of another person, Ganga Behera.
Gouda’s wife had lodged a complaint regarding missing of her husband at the Baidyanathpur police station. During investigation, police had arrested Behera, who revealed the entire love triangle episode.
Police exhumed Gouda’s decomposed body parts and exhumed the sack containing them, 25 days after he went missing. However, the accused doctor had fled after arrest of his accomplice Behera.
