Ayodhya: The authorities in Uttar Pradesh have deployed massive security in Ayodhya ahead of Hunkar Sabha slated for Sunday.
The event will be organized by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
Officials said jawans of RA, FATS Commandos with drone cameras and over seven hundred police personnel have been pressed into service to maintain law and order situation. The authorities said every effort will be made to prevent any untoward incident during the event.
Sources said the ‘Hunkar Sabha’ event is also being orgainsed in Bengaluru, but the Bombay High Court has not allowed the event to be organized in Nagpur.
The event, sources said, is organized for a social gathering to garner support for the construction of the Ram Temple. Several quarters have expressed fear that there might be attempts to recreate a 1990-like situation to pressure the government for expediting the matter.
The matter relating to construction of Ram temple came to the fore again as the litigant Mohammad Iqbal Ansari in the Babri Masjid case said that he does not have any objection to an ordinance for temple construction.
It is worthwhile to mention that on October 29 the apex court had adjourned the title suit till January 2019 to fix a date of the hearing of the matter.
