Assembly adjourned till March 24


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Legislative Assembly’s second phase budget session has been adjourned till March 24 after the Congress and BJP leaders created uproar over MSP increase for paddy and farmer suicide probe and stalled the proceedings.

On Wednesday, the Assembly was adjourned several times owing to the disruption of proceedings with protests by Congress leaders and BJP legislators demanding higher MSP for paddy. The House had to be adjourned several times throughout the last week too, for the same reason.

Today, the Speaker Niranjan Pujari finally announced the House adjourned till March 24.
