Asian Games 2018: Lakshay bags silver in Men’s trap event


Jakarta: After Deepak Kumar, Lakshay Sheoran also clinched the silver medal in the Men’s trap event of the 18th Asian Games on Monday.

The 19-year-old Lakshay finished second after shooting 39 shots out of 45 on the podium.

Manavjit Singh Sandhu, who topped the qualification, finished fourth in the final with 26 after 30 shots, having stayed on course for a while.

Notably, Deepak Kumar grabbed silver in the 10m Air Rifle category after he finished second with a score of 247.7 while Ravi finished fourth at the event.

On the other hand, Apurvi Chandela in the women’s category who entered the qualification round was eliminated from the final.

With this the Indian shooting contingent won third medal in the ongoing Asian Games.
