AMUSU seeks SC intervention on VHP Dharam Sabha

Aligarh: The student union of Aligarh Muslim University has sought apex court’s intervention on Dharam Sabha of VHP in Ayodhya.

The Dharam Sabha is slated for Sunday in Ayodhya for construction of Ram temple.

The Aligarh Muslim University of Students Union (AMUSU) at a press conference had announced that they were writing to the chief justice of India, the Uttar Pradesh governor and the chief minister regarding threat to law and order in the state.

Secretary of AMUSU said the air is already filled with fear. If the VHP proceeds with its plan, then it would definitely disturb the peace in the state, he said.

He said the Centre and the state government would be held morally responsible for breakdown of law and order situation and added that the AMUSU has urged the CJI not to allow the forces to play around with the Constitution of India.
