Amit Shah slams Mamata for protecting Bangladeshi infiltrators

Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Saturday reached Kolkata to address a rally. The BJP leader was shown black flags by youth Congress workers as he came out of the NSC Bose International airport.

Amit Shah was welcomed by state BJP in-charge Kailash Vijaywargia and Dilip Ghosh.

The youth Congress workers raised slogans against Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi while a group of bikers blocked Shah’s convoy before police arrived.

The BJP’s state unit accused Trinamool Congress (TMC) cadre of showcasing anti-BJP posters and  placards with messages of “BJP leave Bengal” and “Anti-Bengal BJP go back”.

Some congress activists also claimed that there was a nexus between the BJP and TMC and gave out slogans like “Modi-Didi bhai bhai”. However the allegations were refuted by TMC.

Shah accused the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of trying to hold back their voices and opinions by blacking out all Bangla TV News channels. Shah said, “Even if you try to suppress our voices, we will go to every district of Bengal and throw TMC out.”

Shah also slammed Mamata for creating a vote bank by asking: ” We want to ask Mamata Banerjee why is she protecting Bangladeshi infiltrators? Rahul Gandhi is also not clarifying his stand on his issue. This is because of congress’ vote bank politics.”

The BJP president charged TMC of being corrupted and being the cause of degradation of the state. He said, “Look what Mamata Banerjee has done with a great place like Bengal. Businesses and industries are suffering, but the corrupt and syndicates are flourishing, rule of law is non-existent, ‘gunda-raj is at an all-time high.  You all saw what happened during the panchayat polls some time ago. Bengal was the land of literature and music, now all you read and hear about is bomb-making units and explosions.  This is Mamata Banerjee’s Bengal.”
