The announcement was made after a meeting with the four-member team of Alliance Air Airlines held here today, informed Airport project director P Karunakaran.
According to reports, a four-member team of Alliance Air led by Engineer T Saha held a discussion with the director of Veer Surendra Sai Airport today on the resumption of flight services from the airport.
Besides, the team visited the airport and inspected the availability of infrastructure, security system and other facilities. The flight service will resume after the team submits its report.
Notably, flight services were started to Bhubaneswar and Chhattisgarh from the VSS Airport after it was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 22.
However, since October 7 no flight has landed or taken off from the new airport as Air Odisha suspended its flight without any intimation, according to the VSS Airport officials.
The last flight operated from the airport was on October 6 and since then, all flights have remained suspended by the airlines citing internal and technical issues.
