Album Actress Simran Singh’s Death: ‘Latka’ Affixed At In-Laws House
Bolangir: The Police today put up a ‘Latka’ notice at the house of deceased Sambalpuri album actress Simran Singh’s in-laws at Belpara village in Bolangir district as they are yet to depose before the police.
According to reports, a team of Sambalpur’s Burla police went to the house of Simran’s in-laws and affixed the proclamation notice after failing to find the family members.
The police have also handed over a notice to one of the relative of Simran’s accused husband Dhrubaraj Suna alias Yuga, asking him to depose before the Burla police for interrogation. The notice was received by Ruku Suna (wife of the relative).
As per the notice, accused Dhrubaraj’s family members have been asked to depose in Burla police station by January 16 for interrogation into Simran’s death case. However, the family members are at large, sources said.
The 20-year-old album artist was found dead under a bridge of Mahanadi river near Goira Matha under Mahanadi Bridge on January 3. Meanwhile, Simran’s family member alleged that she was murdered by her husband, Dhrubaraj Suna aka Yug, of Bolangir.
On the basis of the complaint of the Simran’s mother, the police had registered a case (56/18) under Sections 366 & 376 of the IPC and Section 3 of the POCSO Act.
