3 Jharkhand men detained with fake notes in Balasore


Balasore: Three persons hailing from Jharkhand were detained with fake currency notes near Sahadevkhunta in Balasore district on Wednesday.

The three suspects were identified as Ibrar Kaji, Hafiz Anwar and Sakil Kaji.

According to sources, the three suspects had handed over a fake note to an auto-rickshaw driver as fare after boarding his auto 15 days back. The auto-rickshaw driver today spotted them at Sahadevkhunta.

Later, the auto driver with the help of other drivers caught the trio and contacted the police. During the search, the police recovered a few fake notes from the trio and detained them.

The notes will be sent to the Reserve Bank of India in Bhubaneswar for examination and further investigation into the matter is underway, the officials said.

Sources said the three suspects had hired an auto to reach Remuna from Sahadevkhunta 15 days ago. After reaching their destination, they had paid fake note to the auto driver.
