Bhubaneswar: The fourth edition of Tata Steel Bhubaneswar Literary Meet (TSBLM) will kick start at the Xavier Institute of Management in Bhubaneswar today.
The three-day meet that is open to all visitors will host authors, leaders, opinion makers and performers from across the nation.
As per the schedule, a session with legendary actress Waheeda Rehman about how she immortalised literary characters on screen, talk with Ravinder Singh on ‘Love in the time of Tinder’ and Geeta Gopalakrishnan on the timeless wisdom of Avvaiyar are slotted for the first day of the meet.
Besides, Odissi performance by Jhelum Paranjape and ‘Comedy Hour’ by well-known stand-up comedian Abijit Ganguly are also lined up for the meet.
Mitra Phukan, Prajwal Parajuly and Nabina Das will conduct a storytelling session on the second day of the meet. This will be followed by a session ‘Gandhi in Odisha’ with S N Sahu, Jatindra Nayak, Sangram Jena and Dash Benhur.
The event will also be graced by Ruskin Bond. ‘Licensed to thrill’, ‘Jaillianwala Bagh, a century later’ and ‘Poetry at moonrise’ are other sessions on the day.
Logistics as well as the impact of the identity card, Adhaar, exercise in India. ‘Fakir Mohan – A century later’, ‘The steel frame and the steel nib’, ‘Becoming Odia’, ‘The Twice Born’ and ‘Have Literature and Journalism Parted Ways?’ are sessions to be held on Day 3 of the event.
The three-day meet will conclude on Sunday with a melodious treat named ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ by Rekha Bharadwaj.
