3 Congress workers held for hurling eggs at MP, minister’s vehicles
Nabarangpur: Three Congress workers were detained for allegedly hurling eggs at the vehicles of Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi and ST & SC Development Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi during their visit to Umerkote block on Wednesday.
According to sources, the MP and minister had gone to Mundiguda village in Umerkote block to lay the foundation stone for projects under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash when Congress workers threw eggs at their vehicles.
The Congress workers alleged that their party sarpanch and samiti members were not invited to the government programme. Besides, they also alleged that the village does not have proper road connectivity.
The detained Congress workers were taken to Umerkote police station, sources said.
