Cuttack: The Indian blind cricket team beat Sri Lanka in a high scoring game in the second ODI to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3 match ODI series held at Nimapur Stadium in Cuttack on Thursday.
Batting first, India with the help of centuries from captain Ajay Reddy and Anil Ghariya scored a mammoth 464/6 in their 40 overs.
The team got off to a good start but lost a few wickets in the middle before Ajay and Anil got to the middle and put up and undefeated partnership. The man of the match went to Indian skipper Ajay Reddy for scoring a highest of 155 runs. While, Anil scored next to him with 112 runs.
The target was one which Sri Lanka would have never fancied to chase. While, Sri Lanka’s Desapriya scored 101, Kumara scored 62. But the visitors made a good account of themselves and scored a total in excess of 350 but were still a long way off the target.
The last game of the long home season will be played on the October 27 in Kolkata.
